Warehouse Supervisor

Direct Tap is looking for an experienced, responsible, and safety-driven Warehouse Supervisor to join our order fulfillment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and working with the warehouse staff on the afternoon shift.


Vancouver, BC


12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.

  • Lead, manage and assess employee conduct and performance.
  • Participate in staff hiring through interviews.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees on the order fulfillment team.
  • Track and update operational metrics including but not limited to equipment cost by the unit.
  • Participate in the timely and cost-effective procurement of operating supplies upon authorization.
  • Plug in all equipment and secure building at the end of shift.
  • Ensures batteries are watered every two weeks.
  • Ensures Overstock Cards are accurate.
  • Coordinate and assign pick orders to the appropriate team member.
  • Assign and perform the identification and recording of picking errors on completed pallets.
  • Identify and record order picking efficiency by warehouse team members.
  • Pick orders, fill pick slots and update overstock cards (products ranging from cased goods to 50, 100, 155-pound kegs).
  • Ship and receive products using approved practices.
  • Check-in returning drivers (counts number of delivery orders returned by driver and signs driver’s route sheet).
  • Train the order fulfillment team in job duties, safety procedures, forklift operation and company policies.
  • Reassign or repack mis-picked pallets and always ensure orders leaving the building are accurate and in full.
  • Use safe workplace practices to operate equipment and perform auditing procedures.
  • Regularly maintaining, cleaning and organizing floor space and rack layout.
  • Create the incident report and first-aid reports as needed.
  • Participate in JHSC and act as the First Aid Attendant on shift.
  • May perform the same duties as staff supervised.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned.


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in operations, supply chain, transportation, business or other relevant fields.
  • 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in operations. Preference is given to candidates with warehousing and distribution background.
  • Ability and experience to lead, train and coach employees.
  • Possess a keen sense of urgency while exhibiting objectivity and professionalism.
  • Ability to analyze issues, suggest and implement improvements on a priority basis.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and business writing capability.
  • Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act and WorkSafe regulations.
  • Working proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Possess keen attention to detail.
  • Counterbalance Forklift and/or Reach Truck Certification is an asset.
  • Valid OFA Level 1 Certificate is an asset.
