Distribution Service Driver – Class 3 (Victoria)

  • Tuesday to Friday
  • 40-hour week

Compensation

$17.00-24.00 / hour

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Driver is responsible for:

  • A mixture of highway and inner city driving
  • Ensuring accuracy of all deliveries
  • Correctly loading and unloading trucks
  • Accurately recording delivery information
  • Provide first class customer service
  • Operate the delivery truck in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the road
  • Assist licensees with logistics surrounding their beer and wine keg systems
  • Swamping and warehouse work as required
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with commercial delivery driving and routine vehicle maintenance
  • Valid class 3 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract required
  • Airbrake training or certification an asset
  • Able to move heavy kegs with appropriate tools
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a professional, outgoing and friendly personality
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention-to-detail
  • Ability to learn new skills and processes quickly
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Interest in learning about the wine and craft beer industry and contributing to its growth

Distribution Fleet Supervisor

Location

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Distribution Fleet Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Supervise, guide and evaluate the performance of the Distribution Service Drivers team
  • Assist in the creation of, implement, and enforce process and productivity improvements
  • Coordinate, assign and monitor transportation routes and deliveries
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery
  • Plan and track the shipment of products according to partner and customer requirements
  • Design new or modify existing schedules when necessary
  • Incorporate into route plan factors such as peak travel periods, holidays, special events and construction with an emphasis on time and cost efficiency
  • Review client orders and shipment contents prior to releasing them from our warehouse
  • Track and analyze mis-shipments to ensure they don’t occur again
  • Shipping, receiving and transfers coordination
  • Ensure the quality of all services and processes within the facility
  • Assist in producing operating reports
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Previous route scheduling and dispatch experience is an asset
  • Previous experience supervising a team is required
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or relevant field is preferred
  • Experience in customer service
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities

Warehouse Hand (Penticton)

Location

15.00-19.70 an hour

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Warehouse Hand is responsible for:

  • Ensure accuracy of order fulfillment and transfers (picking, loading, and delivery)
  • Processing empty kegs and breakage
  • Picking orders in the cooler and dry area
  • Building pallets
  • Assist in the warehouse, general housekeeping, cleaning and general maintenance
  • Support receiving and shipping, ensure the proper allocation of inventory
  • Assist with inventory control management and follow strict processes for the handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Assist with general logistics surrounding distribution program
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Previous counterbalance forklift and/or reach truck experience preferred
  • Forklift training or certification an asset
  • Experience with power equipment an asset
  • Able to move heavy kegs with appropriate tools
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention-to-detail
  • Ability to learn new skills and processes quickly
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
